Insert the plug into the socket.
Before switching on the airconditioner first always open the air outlet flap by
pressing on both markings on the air outlet flap.
Press the button on the control panel on the front of the airconditioner to
switch the machine on. Using the button on the machine to switch the
airconditioner on will start it in the automatic mode. The machine will use
values set in the factory to automatically determine whether the active mode
is cooling, ventilator or dehumidifier. The ventilator speed will also be
determined automatically. Use the remote control P supplied to change the
automatic mode (refer to chapter D).
3
G
COMMENTS
The airconditioner will not function effectively if the air outlet flap is
closed. Failing to open the outlet flap correctly can significantly reduce
the life span of the airconditioner. Damage caused by failure to open
the air outlet flap is not covered by the guarantee.

G
ATTENTION!
Ensure that the remote control does not become wet. Remove it from
the machine if there is a risk of it becoming wet.
G
IMPORTANT
The flexible exhaust hose should be less than 1m during operation,
which provides the best performance. This length has been designed
especially according to the specifications of the air conditioner. Do not
use an extension or exchange for a different hose as that may lead to
malfunctioning. The exhaust air must flow freely, any blockage can lead
to overheating of the air conditioner. Take care to prevent any bow or
bend in the exhaust hose.

(between 16°C and 32°C). The display on the TP020 airconditioner shows this
setting. The measured room temperature will be displayed after
approximately 5 seconds.
DEHUMIDIFICATION
If the machine is used exclusively as a dehumidifier, do not attach the air exhaust
hose N, but allow the hot air to flow back into the room to be dehumidified. In
that case you must connect a water hose (not supplied) to the drain N (refer to
chapter H). It is not possible to use the button ‘ventilator speed’ when the
machine is in the dehumidification mode. In this mode the ventilator speed is set.
It is not possible to set the temperature when the machine is in the
dehumidification mode.
AIR CIRCULATION
In this mode the machine only circulates the air. The inflowing air is not cooled or
dehumidified, but it is filtered.
When the machine is operating in this mode you can take the following actions:
• Use the button to set the desired ventilator speed. Pressing the button
changes the ventilator speed between high, medium and low.
Pressing the button on an active machine switches the airconditioner off.
E TIMER FUNCTION
If desired, you can use the timer function. This function enables you to switch the
machine on or off at pre-set times. The timer can only be switched on with the aid
of the remote control. Take the following action:
SWITCHING ON
Ensure that the machine is set to the correct mode: cooling, dehumidification
or circulation. The mode can be identified with the colour of the light on
the control panel on the front of the airconditioner (refer to chapter D)

G
COMMENTS
In order to increase the life span of the compressor it is adjusted in such
a way that it only begins to operate (again) three minutes after the
machine is switched on.
The cooling system is switched off as soon as the ambient temperature
drops below the set value. The ventilator continues to operate at the set
speed. Cooling is restarted when the ambient temperature rises above
the set value again.
G
Whether the desired temperature can actually be achieved depends on
the ambient conditions: It is normal for the room temperature to remain
above the “set temp”.

CANCELLING THE TIMER FUNCTION
An activated timer function can be switched off by pressing the button on the
remote control.
F FILTER
The airconditioner is fitted with a screen filter 5 to purify the circulating air. For
optimum results the screen filter must be cleaned once or twice per week when
the machine is in normal use with a vacuum cleaner and/or water in order to
prevent blockage of the airflow.
Switch the airconditioner off and pull the plug out of the socket.
Slide the filter out of the airconditioner.
Dry the filter and replace it. Always ensure that the filter is completely dry.
Insert the plug into the socket.
The airconditioner is again ready for use
G Never use the machine without a filter.

G EMPTYING THE WATER RESERVOIR
In extreme conditions it may be necessary to empty the internal water reservoir.
The light on the control panel will switch on when the water reservoir is full.
The airconditioner will switch off automatically. Empty the water reservoir in the
following manner:
Do not move the unit. Violent movements may cause water leakage.
First switch the airconditioner off and remove the plug from the socket.
Place a pan or an appropriate container on the ground under the drain hole.
Remove the rubber sealing cap J from the drain and allow the water to run
out (± 0.5 to 1 L).
Slide the sealing cap J carefully back over the drain. Failing to do this
carefully may cause leakage. Insert the plug into the socket and switch the
airconditioner on. The indicator light on the control panel switches off
again.
H CONNECTION TO A PERMANENT DRAIN
First switch the machine off and then pull the plug out of the socket.
Place a pan or a suitable container under the water drain in order to catch
any leaking water.
Remove the rubber sealing cap J from the drain.
Slide a water drainage hose (ø 14 mm. internal) over the drain opening.
Lead the other end of the water drain hose to a suitable location (drain hole).
Attention: ensure that the drainage hose is not twisted or kinked. The hose
must be on a downward slope along its entire length.
