General safety instructions
DANGER: Risk of burns
 Always place a container of an appropriate size on the
holder filter (13). If the container is too small, it can overrun
and cause burns or damage to property.
 Do not remove the container while the water is being heated
and filled. Always wait until the filling process is complete
(drops of hot water can still drip from the hot water dispenser
even after the beep sounds).
WARNING about property damage
 Do not place items on the holder filter (13) or on the hot
water dispenser.
 Only operate the hot water dispenser on an even, stable and
heat-resistant surface.
 Never leave the hot water dispenser unattended during
operation.
 If necessary, place something underneath the device, as
work-surfaces are sometimes treated with detergents which
could attack or even dissolve the non-slip feet (11).
DANGER: Risk of electric shock
 If the power cable (10) of this device is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service or a
similarly qualified person, in order to avoid any possible

34 - English
DANGER: Risk of electric shock
While you are carrying out the next steps, the power cable (10) must be
disconnected from the mains socket. Otherwise, this could result in an electric
shock!
Proceed as follows to prepare the hot water dispenser for use:
6.1.1 Tightening the sealing screw
On the bottom of the device, there is a sealing screw
which can be used, among other things, to drain the

is not to be used for some time. This sealing screw must
be tightened by turning it clockwise before filling the
device with water and using it.
1. Carefully place the heater unit (14) on its left side.
Ideally, you should rest it on a soft cloth.
2. Make sure that the sealing screw is fully tightened
(see arrow). To mark this sealing screw, there is also
a sticker on the casing of the heater unit (14). If
necessary, use a coin or a large screwdriver to
tighten it.
3. Put the hot water dispenser back upright again on
the work surface.
6.1.2 Fitting the water reservoir

9. Troubleshooting
If your hot water dispenser does not work as normal, follow the instructions below to try to solve the
problem. If working through the tips below does not fix the fault, please contact our hotline (see
"Warranty information" section).
The hot water dispenser does not work.
 The mains plug is not plugged in. Insert the mains plug into a mains socket.
 The mains socket is defective. Test the appliance in a different mains socket that you are certain
is working.
 The device must be unlocked first. Press the unlock button (6) for at least 3 seconds to unlock
the device. You then need to select a water temperature or volume within 15 seconds and start
the dispensing process. Otherwise, the hot water dispenser automatically locks itself again.
 The hot water dispenser has overheated and the overheating protection is preventing it from
switching on. The device needs a reset. Open the lid (7), remove the water reservoir (9) and
guide the reset key (D) into the hole marked “RESET BUTTON” on the back of the heater unit
(14). Push it all the way in until you have actuated the switch. The hot water dispenser should
then work normally again. Reassemble it. Fill the hot water dispenser with at least 0.5 litres of
water up to the "0.5L MIN" mark inside.
There is water leaking out below the hot water dispenser.
 The sealing screw is not properly tightened or fitted incorrectly. See “Tightening the sealing
screw” on page 34.
Page: 43
